Craig and I have decided to bring in “the professionals” to help us with this year’s vintage. Bill English, a long time wine maker in Lamorinda, and his assistant Greg Moffitt, have agreed to share their talents and efforts in exchange for a percentage of the wine. They came out last week to see the grapes, and try some local wine – a bottle of the Hanson’s 2011 vintage from the vineyard, and then a magnum bottle of Petite Syrah from our friend’s Dana and Sam Greason’s Lafayette vineyard. Cuatro of the Cinco ninos happened to be in town so that was fun to be able to share the event with them.
